As we move through the busy holiday season, I’m pleased to share this Holiday Edition of our district newsletter. This newsletter reflects the pace of the season and to highlight the many moments of gratitude, service, and community connection that define this time of year.
While the Capitol prepares to return to session in January, our work continues throughout the district. Over the past two months, my team and I have been actively engaged in holiday food distributions, toy drives, community celebrations, and events that bring families together during this meaningful season.
As we look ahead to the new year, I remain committed to building on this momentum and continuing to fight for working families, local communities, and a stronger future for Assembly District 39.

Assembly District 39 – Holiday Highlights
Throughout November and December, my team and I remained active across the 39th District, meeting with nonprofit organizations, constituents, and local leaders to strengthen partnerships and support families during the holiday season.
During this time, I joined community members at Thanksgiving food distributions, winter festivals, parades, and holiday celebrations across the Antelope Valley and High Desert. I was also proud to host two holiday toy drives—one in Adelanto and one in Palmdale—which together served more than 1,200 children and families, helping bring joy to the season for many.
I am especially grateful to the nonprofit organizations, faith leaders, volunteers, and local businesses who stepped up during this busy season to provide food, toys, and essential resources. Your generosity reflects the compassion and unity that define District 39.
As the year comes to a close, I remain thankful for the opportunity to serve District 39 and look forward to continuing this work alongside community partners in the new year.
Thanksgiving Support with SALVA
My office was proud to support the distribution of over 1,000 turkeys in partnership with SALVA, helping families across our community enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal. We were also happy to share the exciting news that SALVA will be opening a new office to expand services in the Victor Valley, strengthening access to support for local families.
CEMEX Tour in Victorville
I joined a tour of CEMEX in Victorville, where I was able to observe a blast, connect with their team, and learn more about their operations. The visit provided valuable insight into their work and allowed us to discuss how my office can continue supporting their efforts, and the broader community. Thank you to CEMEX for hosting me and for their continued partnership.
Holiday Toy Drive – Victor Valley
This holiday season, I had the joy of hosting my first Holiday Toy Drive at Adelanto Stadium, bringing smiles and holiday cheer to families across the 39th District. The event served more than 500 children from Hesperia, Victorville, Adelanto, and even some who traveled from Barstow—no one was turned away. After a challenging year, it was incredibly rewarding to see the excitement and happiness on the children’s faces as they received gifts and celebrated the season.
I want to give a special thank you to the 111 Hope Foundation for their help coordinating the event, to my Communications Director Jacqueline Escobar for doing a wonderful job spearheading it, to Adelanto Stadium, Mayor Pro Tem Ramos, and of course, Santa Claus, who stopped by to spread holiday cheer. This event would not have been possible without the dedication and support of these partners and volunteers, and I am so grateful to everyone who helped make it a magical experience for our kids and families.
Holiday Toy Drive – Antelope Valley
I was proud to host my first Holiday Toy Drive in Palmdale in partnership with the City of Palmdale at Poncitlán Square, bringing holiday cheer to families across the Antelope Valley. Through this event, we were able to serve over 600 children in the Antelope Valley, ensuring families had a joyful and welcoming space to celebrate the season.
After a challenging year for many families, it was especially meaningful to see neighbors come together to support one another and to witness the excitement on the children’s faces as they received gifts. Events like this highlight what we can accomplish when community partners, volunteers, and local leaders work together to uplift our region.
Thank you to the City of Palmdale for their partnership and continued support. I also want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Antelope Valley Veterans Community Action Coalition, 111 Hope Foundation, Campano Law Group, Jasmin Casillas, AV Alta, and the Action & Agua Dulce Democratic Club for their generosity and commitment to our community. A special thank-you as well to our intern, Alan Jobb, for spearheading this event and helping make it such a success. This celebration would not have been possible without the collaboration and dedication of everyone involved.
78th Annual Children’s Parade – Victorville
I was honored to participate in the 78th Annual Children’s Christmas Parade in Victorville, hosted by the Kiwanis Club. Riding through the parade in a red semi truck generously provided by Three Horses Express LLC, I enjoyed celebrating with families and children while spreading holiday cheer throughout the community.
Congratulations to Regina Weatherspoon-Bell for serving as this year’s Grand Marshal. This long-standing tradition reflects the joy, pride, and unity of the High Desert, and it was a pleasure to connect with residents during such a special community celebration.
Palmdale School District Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Parade
It was an honor to participate in the Palmdale School District Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Parade.
Thank you to everyone who made the parade possible and to all the community members we had the pleasure of connecting with. We look forward to continuing to celebrate unity, pride, and community spirit together.
Littlerock Christmas Parade
I had a great time attending the Littlerock Christmas Parade alongside my family and celebrating the holiday season with our community. As I shared with the Antelope Valley Press, “Bringing families together and celebrating with our community is what this season is all about.”
During the event, Team Carrillo was on site handing out more than 100 toys and sharing information about how my office can support residents and families across the district. Congratulations to Congressman George Whitesides for serving as this year’s Grand Marshal, and thank you to everyone who helped make this cherished Littlerock tradition such a joyful community celebration.
