CHAPTERED RESOLUTIONS:

HR 72 – Recognizes November 2025 as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Awareness Month.

BILLS SIGNED:

AB 370 – Public Records Access During Cyberattacks: This bill seeks to provide state and local agencies additional flexibility in meeting the deadlines established under the California Public Records Act (CPRA) for electronic document requests during a cyberattack.

AB 417 – Improving Local Communities: This bill seeks to provide helpful clarification to, and improve the functionality and usefulness of, laws pertaining to Community Revitalization and Investment Authorities (CRIAs) and Enhanced Infrastructure Financing Districts (EIFDs).

AB 450 – Taskforce to Support Aging Undocumented Immigrants: This bill seeks to create a task force within the Department of Aging that will recommend methods to provide resources and services to uplift undocumented older adults throughout California.

AB 521 – Protecting the Licensing Board from Legal Fee Liability: This bill seeks to provide critical protection for the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) from liability for legal fees or associated costs in the event of civil litigation involving a licensed contractor’s cash deposit.

AB 645 – Emergency Medical Dispatch: This bill seeks to enhance emergency response effectiveness by requiring all public safety dispatchers to complete Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) training. This will ensure that dispatchers have the skills and resources needed to provide life-saving pre-arrival instructions and dispatch appropriate emergency personnel.

AB 894 – Protecting Patient Privacy in Healthcare: This bill seeks to enhance the privacy and safety of hospital patients by increasing awareness of the opt-out option for the patient directory during the patient intake process.

AB 1154 – Increasing Parity in Junior Accessory Dwelling Units (JADUs) Regulation: This bill seeks to create parity between Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and JADUs to incentivize homeowners to use these units as an opportunity to build generational wealth and increase the amount of housing units on the market.
